1972 Maserati Bora 4.7
Beschrijving
This wonderful and higly original Maserati Bora was new delivered in Paris (France) in July 1973, to Mansour Akram Ojjeh. After the delivery the car very soon was transported to the Usa, where it enjoyed by the owners until 2017. Mister Ojjeh was the CEO of, TAG, a private Luxembourg based holding company for his advanced technology and luxury brand interests. Later he became co-owner of mc Laren, he even considered buying Maserati when Peugeot shut it down in 1975. Together with Ron Dennis, he made Mc Laren the most successful Formula 1 team of the mid 1980s to early 1990s. Until his dead, he stayed very important for the Mc Laren F1 team, they even revealed a statue at their headquarters in Woking, after he died in 2021. The second owner was Mr H. Wilson Werhan. Mister Werhan was a real Maserati enthusiast, and a very good friend of Bob Grossman. Bob Grossman was the largest US importer of Maseratis during the GT era up until De Tomaso entered the picture in the mid-70's. Mr Werhan visited a lot of car shows with the Maserati Bora, and also won prices with it. Mister Wilson preserved every document of the car, so there is a lot documentation with the car as well. In 2017 Mister Wilson was 91 years old, and could not enjoy the car anymore. The Maserati came to Holland where the car still is today, it had some bodywork done because there was a little damage at the rear, nothing structural. The car also needed big maintenance on the suspension, because the car had not been driven for some time, all the bushes and rubbers where replaced, as well as the brakes. Also a custom made electronic 123 ignition system has been placed. Completely maintenance free. The car still has its original interior with some nice patina, we do not know if the car has its full original paint, but it is in a good condition. The car is delivered new in the very rare color Verde Pino. (code 106GB0). And interior color PAC 1775. The Maserati also has its original US title, as well as the Maserati Classiche documents. The Maserati still has its original 4.7 Itr engine and original 5 speed ZF gearbox, they both have been rebuild in the USA in 2010, all invoice's are with the history of the car. The car has been recently tested on the dyno, and the engine has 300+ bhp, same as new. Overall this Maserati is in a very original state with an very well documented history and very special owner's. Bora deserves. It is now ready to meat it's new special owner, that is exactly what this is.
